Edit Schemas
Schemas allow you to choose what columns and data are shown within the Manage tabs.
Teams
Teams are created on the Plan tab but are available to filter employee’s on the Assignments tab to get to a specified list of employees quickly.
Show Current Phase
Show Current Phase is useful when employees have many projects scheduled in the future, the Show Current Phase will only show project phases that have started and have an end date in the future, additionally, the Include Phases Starting in X weeks will allow additional phases that are starting in the chosen number of weeks to be included as well.
Show History
Show History shows planned vs actual by week on the project so managers can compare what they planned have worked on the project vs what was actually charged.
Apply Billable Target Only
The Apply Billable Target Only option will calculate the colors on the grid either by all planned hours or only billable planned hours. For example, an employee may availability of 40 hours a week and be scheduled for 35 hours of billable work on one project and have 20 hours of work scheduled on an overhead training project for a total of 55 hours. If Apply Billable Only Target is off then the employee will show as Over-booked, however, if it’s On then the employee will show as correctly booked because they will meet their billable target. Note: The default values for Apply Billable Target Only can be specified in the configuration.
Show Role
Show role can be used to see assignments that been made using a Generic Resource/Role and likely need to be assigned to an actual employee in the upcoming weeks to get the work done.
My Assignments
The My Assignments option on the Assignments allows the current user to filter to just their assignments, this can be applied automatically to the View My Assignments permission which can lock the setting on so the employee will only be able to view their assignments. A related option is Edit My Assignments permission which can allow the employee to edit their own schedule.
