Schedule sub-tab
The Forecast -> Schedule Tab allows all of the scheduled projects in the firm to be reviewed in one screen, along with any Deliverables/Milestones on those projects that will be displayed as diamonds. The Projects can also be filtered by Office, Project Manager, Principal, and more. The Show In-Line toggle will collapse phases to show one line per project with all of the scheduled phases.
Schedule Upcoming Milestones
The Projects with Milestones filter allow you to only review projects with Deliverables/Milestone’s in a specified number of upcoming weeks. This can be helpful to review what needs to get done or QA/QC’d in the upcoming weeks.
Schedule Phase types filter
The Phase Type filter allows you to just view scheduled phases of a certain type, for example, firms often want to just review phases that are in Construction Administration. Note: The phase-type list is specified in the configuration and can be filtered by either phase name or code.
Capacity Tab
The Forecast -> Capacity Tab allows firms to analyze the amount of staff they have available to perform work, which is the top line of the graph, along with the amount of billable work that’s targeted to be performed by the employee utilization, and then compare that with the weekly or monthly amount of work that’s actually scheduled. This can be further filtered and analyzed by Office, Discipline, Team, or Role type or any combination thereof. For example, you may want to see if you have needs for more architects in an office or if another office may have available staff over a period of time.
Filter Capacity by Role or Disc or Team
By Filtering Capacity by different Roles, Teams, or Disciplines firms can understand if certain parts of the firm need additional resources provided there’s long term need in that group. Filters by office/organization or studio do work with the Role or Discipline filters so for example if you choose an office and the select role such as Senior Architect or even multiple roles then after hitting apply only the resources and planned work for those resources will be charted. Additionally, parts of the firm that need long-term resources can check if other parts of the firm may have long-term availability of that type of resource, and inquire about borrowing a resource instead of having to hire.
